Dani's World

All about me!
Hi there, glad you could stop by! My name is Dani. I am a 34 yr. old mother of two boys, ages 13 and 4. I am a nurse by profession (L.P.N.) The main reason that I became a nurse was to make a difference in the life of a child. I enjoy working with kids, I usually work in pediatrics when I'm working but love to stay at home with my boys and play 'homemaker' every chance I get! I'm trying to spend this summer at home with my boys! Sounds like fun huh?! By the time school starts this fall I'll have to go to work just to get a break from the kids! :-)

More interesting stuff about me! : - )

I went back to school in 93 to become a nurse because I got tired of seeing these tired old women and young bitty's not caring and thinking more of themselves and making a dollar than being compassionate and caring in their nursing. I knew I could make a difference. So now I do make a difference, every time a child has to have a shot, a bandage, or anything that hurts. I make it a little bit easier for their experience in the doctor's office. That is why I became a nurse!

What I like to do!
I really enjoy going to the mountains where I live and swimming in the cold Tennessee mountain creeks! The water is ice cold and as clear as tap water! Once you swim in the creek you can never go in the lake or river again! Especially if you like skinny dipping ;-) I also love to dance, especially to the music of METALLICA and BOB SEGER!! They both really know how to rock and roll! I love to play with my two boys and show them all about the creeks and the mountains, letting them explore and be 'king of the woods'. I also like to camp, and read. There are alot more things I like to do, too numerous to describe on here. I do enjoy making new friends so if you'd like to know more, email me! Oh yea, one more thing, I am an addict, dependent on opioids and am in treatment through Methadone Maintainence. If you would like further info on this topic, see below! Methadone Maintainence Therapy has really saved my life (and the lives of my children!) Don't knock it.....Well, don't try it unless you need to, but it really has saved my life. I have several friends on MMT that it has changed their lives also. Just for your info......Have a wonderful day folks, God bless!
